SheWolf: A Night at The Opera

Updated: Aug 7

Detroit had its own slice of Verona this Monday night as SheWolf hosted A Night at the Opera, an enchanting celebration inspired by the legendary Arena di Verona Opera Festival.

At JFD, we have a small, tightly beloved list of local restaurants and SheWolf is proudly on it. It’s often been said in the community that Chef Anthony Lombardo’s SheWolf is a love letter to Roman food, and we couldn’t agree more. His reverence for Italian cuisine shines through in every dish. The food is always fantastic, and every visit feels special. A Night at the Opera was no exception it was not only delicious, it was a lot of fun.

At JFD, we love a dining experience much like the ones we’ve come to cherish through the Culinary Collective series at Oak & Reel. In fine dining, ingredients are foundational, but what truly sets a meal apart is the storytelling, the setting, and the soul behind it. A Night at the Opera at SheWolf was very much in that spirit. It wasn’t just the impeccable dishes. It was the atmosphere. The artistry. The shared joy of watching a kitchen and dining room move in harmony to create something fleeting and unforgettable.

Bravo, SheWolf. Bravo!
