If you follow us at Jabri Fine Dining, you already know our love for Table 5 runs deep.

It’s our Saturday ritual, our neighborhood gem, and the kind of place where the food and the faces feel like home. We’ve celebrated their seasonal menus, raved about their cult-favorite butter cake, and shared countless memories gathered around their tables.
So, when Table 5 announced a special Daou Wine Dinner we didn’t hesitate. If you ever get the opportunity, don’t miss out. These special evenings are reserved for true food and wine enthusiasts who appreciate the magic that happens when a talented chef and team, expertly curated pairings, and warm hospitality come together in perfect harmony.

This particular dinner was especially significant as it marked the first wine dinner under newly appointed Head Chef Maddie Grupa. With a string of competitive culinary wins already under her belt, Chef Maddie’s debut was confident, refined, and full of promise. She brought a fresh yet grounded perspective to the kitchen, crafting a menu that was both technically impressive and soulfully delicious.
Each course was paired with selections from Daou’s acclaimed portfolio, creating a beautiful dialogue between the food and the wine. From vibrant whites to bold reds, each glass elevated the dish it accompanied, while the Table 5 team ensured the pacing and service remained seamless, intimate, and celebratory.

A standout for us was the corn custard and the oyster with yuzu vinaigrette, each memorable in its own right. We’re hoping both dishes make guest appearances on the summer menu.
But more than just a single dish or pairing, the Daou Wine Dinner reminded us of what makes Table 5 so special. It’s not just about the food, though the food continues to impress, it’s about the care, the community, and the commitment to creating moments worth savoring.

If you see one of these wine dinners pop up on the calendar, trust us, make the reservation. These are the kinds of experiences that define why we do what we do at Jabri Fine Dining to celebrate craftsmanship, connection, and the joy of the table.
