Sorekara **

19th March 2026

Sorekara

Sorekara is a new resturant for us in a new location of Orlando, Baldwin Park. Much like Masa, Sorekara has a reduced phone policy. Each family is different and for us actually taking pictures helps us be in the moment more and reflect. We often revisit those images and share the experience with friends and family. That said, the balance here felt natural, and we fully respect Sorekara’s approach. There was even one course where guests were asked to refrain from video, a moment that required complete presence to fully appreciate the “magic” as it unfolded.

Sorekara’s request for discretion when it comes to sharing the full experience.

What we can say is this: the space is exceptional. Guests are guided through a series of distinct spaces starting in a Zen garden. The progression of the evening is intentional, with a recurring theme of slowing down time woven throughout the experience. Thank you to art history, Kira was able to catch the Salvadore Dali The Persistence of Memory inspiration in the desert course.

Sorekara omakase focusing on the 72 microseasons of Japan. There were many highlights throughout the evening, with one dish in particular the crab that was a stand out. The team is exceptionally warm, delivering a level of hospitality and polish that aligns with what you would expect from a two-star experience.

There is more we could share, but Sorekara is best experienced as intended by arriving, trusting, and allowing the evening to unfold on its own.
