Dubai, UAE
To kick off the Michelin leg of our trip, we had the pleasure of dining at Orfali Bros Bistro, a place that feels less like a traditional restaurant and more like a joyful, curated celebration of global flavors and familial hospitality. It’s no surprise this gem continues to garner attention from Michelin and food lovers worldwide.
What struck us immediately was the versatility of the space. Orfali Bros Bistro is truly for everyone, families with young children, couples on date night, and even professionals deep in business conversations. It was one of the few restaurants we've visited that seamlessly blended these varied groups into one shared experience without compromising the atmosphere for any. The dining room buzzes with life but never feels chaotic. It’s welcoming, grounded, and vibrant in a way only a family-run spot can be.
And the food, every bite was delicious. Not only was it one of the most beautiful expressions of bistronomy we’ve encountered, but it also paid deep respect to tradition while fearlessly leaning into bold, modern technique.
The menu was a masterpiece of playful innovation. Our menu for the evening:
Caviar Bun – smetana / caviar
Corn Bomb – all about corn / 36 months parmigiano reggiano
OB Croquettes – celeriac / 18 months comté cheese / truffle mayo *ask for truffle
Orfali Bayildi – eggplant / makdous muhammara / tarator / walnut / verjuice / nasturtium
Tuna Salsa Roja – fermented tomato / sea fennel / garlic / aji rocoto / tomato raisins / olive oil / onion
Sea Scallop – shio koji brown butter sauce / chives / verjuice / caviar
Shish Barak à la Gyoza – wagyu beef dumplings / garlic yogurt / sujuk oil / pine nuts / mint
Come With Me to Aleppo – wagyu beef kebab / sour cherry / parsley / pine nuts / cinnamon
Burnt Leeks & Truffle Pide – sourdough / brown butter miso / hazelnuts / stracciatella / chives *ask for truffle
Unfortunately, we didn’t leave room for dessert, a definite miss on our part. The dessert selection looked like edible artwork, each one more tempting than the last. We’ll plan better next time, and perhaps start with dessert just to be safe!

What made the experience even more special was a visit from one of the Orfali brothers himself, Chef Mohamad Orfali, stopped by our table to say hello and check in. His warmth was unmistakable, and you can feel the pride and care the Orfali brothers pour into every detail of the restaurant.
Being a family-owned business ourselves made witnessing their success a true joy for us. Their passion, precision, and personality shine through in every moment, from the food to the ambiance to the authentic hospitality.
Orfali Bros Bistro is a shining example of what happens when creativity, heart, and heritage come together. Whether you’re celebrating, connecting, or just curious, it’s a must-stop for anyone exploring Dubai’s ever-evolving culinary scene.
