Dubai, UAE
We began our first night in Dubai at Amaseena, the open-air Arabic restaurant at The Ritz-Carlton, Dubai. With its canopy of Bedouin-style tents and a setting just steps from the beach, Amaseena offers a uniquely atmospheric take on Middle Eastern dining one that feels both refined and rooted in tradition.
We were fortunate to catch this seasonal gem just before it closed for the summer due to the desert heat. Dining here feels like stepping into a story: lanterns glow, palm trees sway, and the scent of spice and charcoal fills the air.
Although Amaseena is known for its lavish buffet, beautifully laid out with cold and hot mezze, grilled meats, and traditional desserts, we opted to order à la carte to explore some specific dishes more intentionally.
Our selections included:
The food was excellent flavorful, generous, and beautifully presented. Service was gracious and attentive, with the staff offering thoughtful recommendations and warm hospitality that made us feel instantly at home. The live oud music and coastal breeze made the experience feel both luxurious and deeply connected to the region.
Dubai’s food scene is having a major moment this year, with the 2025 Michelin Guide awarding the city’s first-ever three-star restaurants: Trèsind Studio and FZN by Björn Frantzén. This milestone cements Dubai’s place on the global culinary map. Amaseena with its soulful, authentic dining experience is haute cuisine at its finest.
As far as first night’s goes, Amaseena set the tone beautifully: warm hospitality, bold flavors, and a true sense of place.
