Chicago, IL
The World’s Only Michelin-Starred Brewery
We’re not beer drinkers, but dining at Moody Tongue was a fun and memorable experience that completely expanded our appreciation for the art of brewing.

Located in Chicago’s South Loop, Moody
Tongue is the only Michelin-starred brewery in the world. This is not your typical gastropub or brew hall. This is fine dining reimagined through the lens of craft beer.
While beer isn’t usually our go-to, we were both surprised at how enjoyable and educational the pairings were. For someone who loves microbrews, Moody Tongue would be a dream. We all walked away with a newfound respect for the complexity and craftsmanship that goes into brewing on this level.
Our Tasting Menu Included:
Maine Lobster – Drunken Prawn
Razor Clam
Hokkaido Scallop
Cobia
Lac Brome Duck
Australian White Lamb
Lemon Dots Strawberry Rhubarb
Passion Fruit and Chocolate

The space itself is sleek and intimate, with a moody elegance that contrasts beautifully with its South Loop brewery setting. The service was warm, extremely attentive, and incredibly knowledgeable, enthusiastic in guiding us through both the dishes and the brewing process behind each pour.
Jabri Fine Dining Tip: Even if you’re not a beer lover, Moody Tongue is worth the visit. Approach it with curiosity, and you might just discover a new favorite pairing—or at least walk away with a deeper appreciation for the artistry behind brewing.
And a HAPPY BIRTHDAY WEEKEND to Carmine!
