Trèsind Studio, one of the two (and frankly, should be three) three-Michelin-starred restaurants in Dubai, truly lived up to the hype of fabulousness, delivering an experience as refined as it was memorable. The evening unfolded as an immersive and highly interactive journey, thoughtfully designed to engage guests beyond the plate. Rather than relying on overt theatrics, each moment felt purposeful, inviting conversation, curiosity, and connection between chefs and diners.
The tasting menu was structured by region, guiding us through India’s extraordinary geographic and culinary diversity. Before each new chapter of the meal, a beautifully detailed topographic map was presented tableside, grounding the dishes in place and history. Ingredients were introduced in context, what each region is known for, how climate and culture shape flavor turning the experience into a lesson as much as a meal. As a family that dines not only for exceptional food but also for education and cultural understanding, this resonated deeply with us.

From there, the menu unfolded with remarkable consistency of fourteen courses that never missed, each one precise, thoughtful, and deeply flavorful. Paired with nine wines (many made in-house), the experience felt entirely singular. For our fellow Americans, we’ll say this plainly: there is nothing comparable in the States and recreating it would require another fourteen-hour flight.
What stayed with us most were the broths and sauces so deeply layered, beautifully balanced, and treated as essential elements rather than afterthoughts. Each one felt like a distillation of its region, so expressive that an entire meal could be built around simply drinking the broth alone.
This was not simply a modern take on Indian cuisine, but a decidedly luxurious one. With very limited seating and what often feels like a near one-to-one guest-to-chef ratio, every detail felt personal and intentional. Kira remains completely obsessed with the pani puri, Carmine couldn’t stop talking about the tortellini with goat cheese raita and the slow-cooked lamb curry (every chef knows his love of lamb), and Emma was delighted throughout especially by the desserts inspired by the Himalayan Mountains, which closed the evening on a quietly magical note.
We left with a beautifully designed menu booklet one that belongs in every U.S. global studies classroom. Beyond a keepsake, every table also left with a beautiful piece of original art by @ch256 to remember the evening. Trèsind Studio isn’t just a meal; it’s an education, a shared experience, and a reminder of why we dine the way we do as a family, with curiosity, and with reverence for the stories behind the food.
