Chicago
At Jabri Fine Dining, we return to Ever not just for the food, but for the experience the storytelling, the sense that something profound is unfolding with every course.
Ever, the two-Michelin-starred destination in Chicago’s West Loop, continues to deliver moments of quiet beauty under the leadership of Chef Curtis Duffy. Each visit feels like a chapter in an ongoing narrative one that marries artistry, emotion, and exceptional technique.
Our most recent menu included:
Oscietra Grand Reserve Caviar – green garlic, yogurt, Chrysanthemum
Asparagus – yuzu, brioche, Sage
Coconut – makrut lime, chicken, cilantro
Ora King Salmon – mandarin, mustard, fennel
Duck – truffle ricotta, kale
Maitake – pasta, turnip, chive
Short Rib – broccoli, rice, basil
Cranberry – olive oil, pastry cream, lemon verbena
Banana – mango, rum, chocolate mint
Tiny Sweets Hazelnut, Rhubarb

Ever’s team continues to make the experience both inclusive and refined, engaging our daughter Emma with genuine warmth and care an approach that makes all the difference. She was especially delighted to visit her Miss Hannah, and it’s such a joy to watch her grow up frequenting these extraordinary places, surrounded by people who mean so much to us.

And yes, for those who read our previous post the bathrooms are still playing that same Matthew McConaughey audiobook on loop. This time, we came prepared and timed our visits wisely!

We’re also eagerly anticipating the release of Chef Duffy’s upcoming book, which promises to offer even deeper insight into the story behind EVER and the philosophy that shapes each plate. Given how much For Grace moved us, we know his written voice will be just as powerful as his culinary one.
Ever remains a restaurant that doesn’t just serve food it leaves an imprint. And we’re grateful to return, again and again.
