Elcielo Miami is fine dining, but it is also undeniably an experience. Holding one Michelin Star since 2022, it takes a very interactive and multisensory approach to modern Colombian cuisine, leaning more into a structured sensory journey than a traditional progression of courses.

Elcielo has multiple locations, but we can only speak to Miami. The main dining room features a full glass wall overlooking a canal that feels like a highway of yachts, something we can only compare to what we’ve experienced in Dubai. The restaurant sits directly on the water, with impressive boats slowly passing by throughout the evening, heading to and from the ocean.
Some of the interactive experiences we had included:
• Chocotherapy: Warm liquid chocolate poured over your hands with toppings, followed by licking the chocolate off your hands. Emma LOVED this!
• Stone crab empanadas: A playful build-your-own course with warm BBQ beef and cool pineapple salsa served in separate vessels.
• Tree of Life: Warm yuca bread presented on a sculptural wire display.• Coffee Field: A tableside coffee preparation using dry ice to recreate the fog of Colombian plantations.
• Lick Me: A course designed to be eaten directly off the plate, reminiscent of our starter course at El Ideas.
Elcielo is not trying to be traditional, and that is exactly the point. It is structured, interactive, and at times playful, but always grounded in technique. For those who enjoy fine dining but appreciate when a restaurant pushes beyond the expected format, this is one that stands apart.
