Chicago
Boka has been on our radar for quite some time, and we finally made the reservation we’ve been meaning to for years. Tucked into Chicago’s Lincoln Park neighborhood, Boka has earned a reputation for being one of the city’s most consistently excellent fine dining destinations and after our recent visit, we can confidently say that reputation is well-deserved.

Holding a Michelin star since 2011, Boka
has maintained this honor for well over a decade, no small feat in the ever-evolving culinary world. Its longevity speaks volumes about the consistency of its food, service, and overall experience. The restaurant effortlessly balances contemporary elegance with a warm, approachable atmosphere that puts you at ease while still feeling utterly refined.
From the moment we arrived, we were struck by the attentiveness of the staff. Every interaction felt intentional, from the timing of the courses to the thoughtful wine pairings and the genuine enthusiasm of the team. There’s no formal dress code, but it was clear that guests were dressed with care a reflection of the respect diners have for the space and experience. Boka is a place where you come to celebrate whether that’s a special occasion or simply a deep love for great food.
We opted for the tasting menu, which proved to be the perfect way to experience the full range of the kitchen’s creativity. We also added the Golden Osetra caviar service an indulgence that elevated the evening and underscored the luxurious, celebratory feel of the meal.
Our menu for the evening included:
Beausoleil Oyster
Sunchoke
Lightly Cured Bluefin Tuna
Grilled Green Asparagus
Golden Osetra Caviar
Slow Cooked Tasmanian Ocean Trout
Black Truffle Scarpinocc
Slow Roasted Colorado Lamb Loin
Blackberry Yuzu Sorbt
Green Cardamom Congee
